Located in the Yonge & Davisville neighborhood in Toronto, this beloved bookstore has been open for 36 years and is locally famous for its cat, Mabel that regularly sleeps in the window in the sun.
When you enter, you will see steps to the left where you go upstairs to the tween and teen section. Next to the staircase, there are some adult books. On the 1st floor to the right is cute stationery, and lots of younger kid books.
Upstairs, the age groups are distinguished between by the painted lamps on top of each bookshelf with the ages. You will see a small room next to the "12" bookshelf which is where teen graphic novels are. In the back room, you will see a couple comfy chairs and couches and the best feature, in my option, the walls. The walls are covered in authors' and illustrators' praise for the bookstore, advice and funny drawings.
